Telstra Twitter account hacked by phishing scammers

A Twitter account used by Telstra PR staff has been hacked and was used to spread links to a phishing site.

VoxofTLS, a Twitter account used by Craig Middleton, a media spokesperson for  Telstra, has been compromised and used to distribute links to a phishing site.

TechTarget ANZ received a Direct Message from VoxofTLS today that said "haha you're on this blog" and offered a link to a site identified as a phishing service by the browser with which we accessed the address.

Middleton has acknowledged the compromise  and the account seems to be back in Telstra's hands, given that the most recent message advises "You have not 'been mentioned in this blog'. It is a phishing scam. Do not try to access the short URL".
